We like to think that the firm is a good place to work. There is a low staff turnover, but with great enthusiasm and commitment, and perhaps most importantly, everyone has a life outside the office.
The firm is still quite small by city standards, so that everyone gets to know most if not all of their colleagues and also has the opportunity to get to know a wide variety of clients.
Opportunities break down into three types.
We have no trainees at present, but our policy is that each trainee spends six months in each of the four departments, working with Directors as well as more senior qualified members of the firm. You will have a great deal of daily support from those with whom you work, and have early contact with clients so that you can develop your interpersonal skills and at the same time have the benefit of experience to supplement the training which you acquired on your various courses.
We have no particular academic criteria, but we do welcome applications from those who are late entrants to the profession or "returners", or foreign lawyers looking to qualify in the English Jurisdiction. The ability to speak a foreign language is a distinct plus. At present our earliest vacancy is for 2008.
At the moment we have no vacancies.
At present we have no vacancies.
Even so, don't be put off from sending in your CV, we are always willing to consider a speculative approach from anyone wishing to join us.
We provide Health Insurance and there is a Pension scheme in place, into which the firm makes a contribution equal to 5% of salary. Both of these are available to members of the firm who have been with us for more than three months.
